The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of lifeguards' periodic training score, which enhanced physical strength of swimming, emphasized the ratio 1:3 exhale-inhale training in order to increase vital capacity and to improve swimming velocity. The 1st thorax dilatation significantly smaller than the 2nd thorax dilatation, p-value<0.005, normal vital capacity significantly smaller than 2nd thorax dilatation. The 1st 400m record was greater than the 2nd 400m record and greater than the 3rd 400m record. There was no significant difference between scattered male and female sample by using equal variance of Levene test (F=.039, P=.844>.05) and t value of the 3rd record (p=.114>0.05). After 40 minutes training per day through Monday to Friday in 10 weeks, the mean of swimming velocity was significantly improved (9.8>62>9.5819>9.3635).
