本研究主要目的在比較青少年運動選手與非運動選手運動友誼及運動員精神之差異與相關。研究對象為獲得89學年度國中甲級籃球聯賽前八名之隊伍共205位(男生139位,女生66位),以及北中南三所國中上體育課班級之國中生263位(男生136位,女生127位),總計468位,平均年齡為13.58歲(SD = ±0.88)。研究工具為青少年運動友誼品質量表(徐瑞玉,2001)及運動員精神取向量表(李安忠,2001),利用研究對象訓練結束或體育課進行測驗,然後將所有回收的問卷進行資料處理與統計分析,經獨立樣本t檢定、皮爾遜(K. Pearson)積差相關分析之後,所得的結果如下:
一、青少年運動選手與非運動選手運動友誼之差異方面:青少年運動選手在「自尊的增進與支持」和「情感的支持」高於非運動選手。
二、青少年運動選手與非運動選手運動員精神之差異方面:青少年運動選手在「運動參與的完全承諾」、「尊敬比賽規則與裁判」、「運動參與的負面手段」、和「社會禮節」高於非運動選手。
三、運動友誼取向與運動員精神取向之間的相關情形:
(一)運動友誼之「自尊的增進與支持」、「衝突」、「親密關係」、「互相幫忙和指導」等因素與運動員精神各因素呈正相關。
(二)運動友誼之「共同的想法與興趣」、「衝突的化解」、「情感的支持」等因素與運動員精神之「運動參與的完全承諾」、「尊敬比賽規則與裁判」、「尊敬與關心對手」、「社會禮節」等因素呈正相關。
本研究結論指出,青少年在參與運動訓練或比賽或是上體育課時,能夠藉由體育活動而獲得較多的友誼機會,朋友與朋友之間能夠互相支持與鼓勵而且擁有較高的自尊心。建議未來研究能夠以運動友誼與運動員精神為基礎,結合其他心理概念(如動機、自我效能、攻擊、運動道德)來進行不同族群的研究。
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of sports friendship and sportspersonship between youth athletes and non-athletes. Sampled 205 junior basketball players (males = 139; females = 66) and sampled 263 junior school students (males = 136; females = 127), participated with mean age of 13.58 (SD = ±0.88) in this study. Participants completed youth sports friendship questionnaire and sportspersonship questionnaire before physical education classes or training section. A t-test statistical analyses found youth athletes were higher on "enhancement and support" nd "emotional support" in the sub-scales of sports friendship. Also, youth athletes showed higher on "total commitment for the sport participation", "respect referees and rules", “negative approaches to sport participation", and "social convention". Further, Pearson correlation analyses found seven factors of sports friendship "facilitation of esteem and support", "mutual interests and thoughts", "conflict", "conflict resolution", "imitation", "mutual help and guidance", and "emotional support", were all positively correlated with sportspersonship except "negative approaches to sport participation" of sportspersonship. This study concluded that sport participation is an appropriate educational approach to enhance youth friendship and moral development. It is suggested that physical education teachers, coaches and administrators should not ignore the values of sport. Further research may consider including other psychological constructs such as motivation, self efficacy, aggression, and moral reasoning to future study.
