動機議題一直在運動心理學的研究上，佔有舉足輕重的地位。社會認知取向的手段近十年來，一直是成就情境研究動機議題的主要方式之一。其中又以自我決定理論(self-determination theory; Deci & Ryan, 2000)與成就目標理論(achievement goal theory; Nicholls, 1984; 1989)最受到研究者的關注與重視。不論何者，對於成就情境，像是運動、健身運動或是體育課中，個體如何展現出最佳表現與結果的動機類型，一直是學界和業界一致追尋的答案所在。過去的研究發現內在動機對於正向成就行為扮演著正向影響的角色。而近來研究者更提出熱情(passion)概念的雙元熱情模式(dual model of passion)，試圖解釋在堅持投入大量時間、個人資源於特定活動的個體中，動機類型背後是否有系理與理論的解釋。本研究計畫旨在探究國內舞蹈系學生，在舞蹈熱情展現的同時，是否能檢驗既有理論的假設。同時以長期追蹤的方式，試圖回答雙元熱情模式中，概念與結果發現的缺口，提供理論在雙元熱情定義區分上的不足，以及熱情變化和其影響結果關係的再釐清。本研究以233位主修舞蹈的學生舞者為對象，在獲得研究倫理許可後，進行兩次的問卷資料蒐集。描述性的統計呈現資料的常態分佈，但部份研究變項的的發現，礙於樣本數過小，產生與原始理論不一致的部份。以偏相關的方式分析本研究的資料發現，有別以往研究的結果，強迫式熱情產生的影響較為負面。部份不一致的部份與結果發現，在討論時分別進行說明。
The topic of motivation has long been one of the major focus on research of sport and exercise psychology. One of the most popular research approaches is social cognitive approach. There are several different theories and models, which have been emphasized for the past three decades. Self-determination theory as well as achievement goal theory are two of the top list on motivation study. What is the optimal motivational function for individuals involved in sport, exercise and physical education domains has been one of the top priorities for researchers and personnel. Recently a new concept of motivation has been introduced to this field, which first published by Vallerand and colleagues in 2003, called dual model of passion. This research project is aimed to elaborate this model with a sample of dance students to examine hypotheses of DMP and hopes to provide further information regarding antecedents and consequences of passion.
