運動醜聞之研究-以中華職棒簽賭放水案為例

1997年9月10日是台灣棒球史上最黑暗的一天，在這一日廿三名職棒球員因放水案被法 官判定有罪，也正式宣判台灣職棒進入冰河期，球迷不再進場看球，影響之大，導致 三支中職球團解散。雖然2001年世界盃精采的表現才使職棒死而復生，但在2005、 2007、2008又陸續爆發打假球的醜聞，更有甚者，米迪亞的高層竟然以黑道介入的方 式參與其中，直接教唆球員打放水球，造成中華職棒聯盟環境江河日下，不僅米迪亞 被停權解散，中信鯨也因環境不佳而吹熄燈號。 本研究會從型態社會學的觀點來解析中華職棒簽賭發生的原因，此學說是在研究人 群如何對付互賴關係所產生的問題，強調可以從多重關係之網的改變來解釋權力分配的 轉變，主要是打破傳統社會學二元對立的觀點，如個人與結構，以達到「見樹又見林」 的效果。在簽賭放水案中，球員、賭徒、黑道和民代其實是處在一個複雜的型態當中，既合作又鬥爭，一開始各方都有意識的互動，以達成自己的利益，然而結構的關係，導 致未來的發展結果是出乎他們意料之外的。 此研究著重於田野調查，與當事者進行深度面訪，並且以法院判決書做輔助，試圖了解整件事情的來龍去脈，並且給予決策者和球團人士良性建議，避免類似事件再度發生。

On 10th September 1997, twenty-three baseball players were convicted guilty by the court judge because of match-fixing. It can be said that it was the darkest day in the history of Taiwanese baseball. Subsequently, the period of ice age was ushered in Taiwan's professional baseball. The impact was huge. Fans stopped going to the stadium that led to large financial losses on the industry. As a result, three clubs were disbanded. It was not until the fantastic performance in 2001 baseball world cup did professional baseball come to live again. However, match-fixing scandals emerged again in 2005, 2007, and 2008, leading to disbandment of two professional clubs, Dmedia T-REX and China Trust Whales. The research will use figurational sociology to explain how gambling and match-fixing happened in Taiwanese baseball. This perspective studies how people cope with issues resulting from human interdependence. It emphasized that the shift of distribution of power is caused by the change of web of relations, trying to subvert the traditional dichotomy coined by sociology, such as agency and structure. In match-fixing scandal, players, gamblers, gangsters, and politicians were situated in a complex figuration. At the inception, each side consciously interacts with other people to obtain their objective. However, the constraining force of the structure resulted into outcomes that were out of all people's expectations. As for research methods, the author will conduct field research and in-depth interviews with important figures, and use juridical reports as complimentary source, in order to understand the reasons and factors underlying the entire incident. In the end, the research will offer benign suggestions to policy-makers and club officials so that similar incident could be averted.
