　　本研究旨在探討足球戰略隊形趨勢之發展。以2002年世界盃足球賽參與會內賽球隊為對象。研究重點為參賽各球隊採用之主要和彈性戰略隊形，及其表現特點與變化比例；流派風格、技術型態與隊形之採用；及足球戰略隊形之演變趨勢。以國際足球總會2002年世界盃技術報告書為基礎，採用內容分析法，輔以觀察記錄法，進行描述性統計，經統計分析獲致以下結論：
一、基本戰略隊形採用最多的是4-4-2。
二、本屆比賽主要戰略隊形，攻防型態、技巧更為嫻熟，越進階的比賽，球隊運用戰略隊形變化越大。
三、本屆比賽流派風格主要以拉丁派為主；技術型態以技巧型為主；戰略隊形以4-4-2為主。隊形的創立依據以球員技巧能力為依歸。
四、足球戰略隊形之演變趨勢
第一階段(1863-1924年)：重攻輕守。
第二階段(1925-1950年)：攻守平衡。
第三階段(1951-1974年)：攻守平衡、依球員特點而決定戰略。
第四階段(1974年以後)：全能足球。
80年代：重點球員、穩守反擊。
90年代：全攻全守。
2000年代初：穩守反擊、增加防守人數。

ABSTRACT
　　The purpose of this study was to assess the development of the strategies used in the 2002 World Cup soccer games. The respondents for World class players from 32 national teams and 64 games , participated the 2002 World Cup. The study mainly investigated : 1). main strategies and characteristics,2). the variation of strategies and rational of variability during the games, 3). styles、the tactics and action mode applied in the games,and 4). analysis the trend of the teams’ strategy use. By using recalling method of game video tape and report on the 2002 World cup soccer games, the conclusions which are made by using content analysis, are and as following:
1.The strategy frequently used was 4-4-2.
2.The attack and the defense style used in the games in the 2002 were more splendid, the variation of strategies were applied according to the situations in the stage of game.
3.Deciding which strategy used are decided by the players’ skill、fitness、tactics、characteristics and cultural aspect into consideration, the style tended to be Latin: the style inclined to be skillful; 4-4-2 was the most popular strategy in 2002 World Cup.
4.Football strategy:
(1)Focused on attacks style rather than defense one(1863 – 1924).
(2)Balanced attack strategy with defense one(1925 – 1950).
(3)The strategy depand on players physical fitness(1951 – 1974).
(4)Total football (after 1974).
