本研究旨在探討偏遠地區國小教師,休閒運動參與現況及動機之差異情形。以屏東縣偏遠地區345位教師為研究對象,進行問卷調查,有效問卷回收率76.81%共265份。以描述統計、探索性因素分析、獨立樣本t考驗、單因子變異數分析、薛費爾事後比較及卡方考驗等統計方法,結果研究發現:
一、受試者每週休閒運動參與現況;(1)參與次數2-4次佔55.8%最多;(2)參與時數以60分鐘以內佔40%最多;(3)參與時段以16:30分以後佔61.1%為主;(4)利用期日以週六、日佔58.1%最多;(5)參與資訊來源以親友告知33.7%最多;(6)無法參與原因以時間問題30%居多。
二、受試教師在參與動機之優先順序分別為:「健康與適能」、「社會需求」、「成就性需求」、「知性追求」。
三、受試者在休閒運動參與動機四個構面上皆未達顯著差異水準(p>.05)。

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this investigation is to find out the status of elementary school teachers recreational sport and participation motivation at the remote areas in Ping-tung County. I’ve done a survey on 345 teachers and 76.81% of the papers had been returned, which is 265 teachers’ had responed the question. According to Chi-quare, t-test, one-way ANOVA,descriptivestatistics,item analysis, and exploratory factor analysis, and scheffe test comparison afterwards, The result for the investigation is as below:
1. In terms of current status for those school teachers participation motivation of their weekly recreational sport, the following data was retrieved as:
(1) Frequency:Tow to four times each week 55.8%;
(2)Time: Less than sixty(60)minutes each time 40%;
(3)Time: After 16:30-61.1%;
(4)Weekends only: Take sport on weekends only 58.1%;
(5) Source for sports: To be told by friend or relatives 33.7%;
(6)Time shortage: Not be able to do any sport 30%.
2. Priorities for the above-mentioned survey items:
(1) Health Status and Fitness; (2) Society Needs; (3) Self-Fulfillment; and (4) Inspiration Pursuit.
3. From the viewpoint of the teachers participation motivation, it doesn't reach the difference level(p>.05).
