Abstract
熱量限制為技擊類運動選手為進行減重常採用之方法之一,由於熱量攝取降低,勢必造 成選手體內生化代謝反應改變。而代謝體學為近年來生命科學研究之新興領域,利用高靈敏、 可快速大量分析小分子之精密儀器,藉由全圖譜之呈現,可推測與追蹤代謝途徑的變化。本 計畫擬探討優秀男性角力選手為進行減重而採用短期熱量限制以及山苦瓜補充品,對其減重 效果與運動表現之影響,並以代謝體學為研究工具,探討可能之機制。本研究擬分兩年進行, 第一年對 15 位優秀男性角力選手進行 20 kcal/kg 的熱量限制,為期十天。每日醣類、蛋白 質與脂質的攝取量分別為 3.4 g/kg、1.5 g/kg、0.05 g/kg。水分與鹽分為自由攝取,又每日再 服用一顆綜合維他命。在熱量限制前後均以排氣體箱計檢測身體組成,並進行運動表現測試; 且於測試前後進行血液採集,供以 LCMS 進行血液代謝體學分析。第二年則規劃在熱量限 制介入的同時,補充具有降體脂與促進脂質代謝功效之山苦瓜凍乾粉末,探討山苦瓜與熱量 限制之協同效果,以及其所造成之代謝變化。本研究將有助於了解熱量限制計畫與山苦瓜補 充之減重效果,並透過代謝體學分析,全面性了解生化代謝反應之改變,以評估熱量限制計 畫之優缺點,以及開發山苦瓜為營養補充品之潛力。
Calorie restriction is one of the conventional approaches to weight loss in athletes of combat sports. The decrease in calorie intake will expect to the changes in biological metabolism inside the athletes. Metabolomics is an emerging field in recently life science research. By the reveal of full-range spectrums of high sensitive and fast instruments, it can be applied in the prediction of the change of metabolic pathway. This research will study the effects of calorie restriction and the supplement of wild bitter gourds on weight loss and sport performances, as well as the possible mechanism. In the first year of this 2-year project, the hypocaloric diets will provide fifteen elite male wrestlers with 20 kcal/kg per day, including carbohydrate 3.4 g/kg, protein 1.5 g/kg, and fat 0.05 g/kg, lasting for 10 days. Water and salt consumption will be ad libitum. Each subject will also consume one vitamin-mineral tablet daily. Before and after calorie restriction, body composition will be measured using Air Displacement Plethysmography technology, and exercise performance will be tested. Blood samples for metabolomics research by LCMS analysis will be collected before and after the performance tests. In the second year, on the condition of calorie restriction, the coalition effect and metabolic changes by introducing bitter gourd powder, possessed of the potency on lowering body fat composition as well as accelerating lipid metabolism, will be studied. The research will contribute to the understanding of the effects on the weight loss by calorie restriction plans and bitter gourds supplementation, as well as thoroughly understanding of the changes on metabolic pathway by metabolomics analysis. By which, the advantages and disadvantages of calorie restriction plans can be evaluated and the potency of nutrition supplement for bitter gourd can be explored.
