休閒意義與價值之概念研究

本研究的目的在於對休閒的意義與價值進行概念性之探討。本研究首先以文獻回顧方式融合社會變遷、社會階層、時間使用、哲學思潮等觀點，來探討人類休閒型態的開端與演進。再者，本研究並透過遊戲理論觀點之剖析，進而指明探討人類為何休閒之本質問題實乃一大難題。因此本研究藉由對休閒價值之探討，提供另一論點來研究休閒意義之本質問題。本研究結果發現「需求」（needs）乃人類共有之通性，然而人類滿足需求的方式卻可能衍生出不同的「價值」（values），若將休閒價值之論點與傅偉勳所提出之多元開展之生命價值層次相融合，當能對休閒在本質與實踐層面上之探討賦予更寬闊的視角，同時休閒價值得以彌補人類生命價值之不足，使整個人類生命價值層次更趨完整。

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to examine conceptually the meaning and value of leisure and recreation. In doing so, this study began with a thorough literature review, through which an integrated point of view was brought forward to explore the origin and evolution of leisure and recreation in human life. This point of view incorporated perspectives from societal changes, social classes, time management, and philosophy. Furthermore, this study examined the play theory and pointed out the difficulty of investigating the entity of human’s leisure and recreation. Therefore, this study provided a different viewpoint of looking into this entity issue by incorporating the value of leisure and recreation. The findings of the study showed that human needs are universal but, however, the ways people satisfy their needs may lead to different values. It was suggested that integrating the value of leisure and recreation with Fu, Wei-wun’s open multi-dimensional hierarchy of the value of human life would offer a much broader perspective for the study of the entity and reality of leisure and recreation. In addition, the value of leisure and recreation would supplement the insufficiency of the value of human life and result in a more complete hierarchy of the value of human life.
