體育新聞剪報典藏數位化計畫

體育為我國重要的人文建設項目，長期以來與體育相關之資訊文本、圖像多藉報章雜誌載體作為傳佈播散管道，惟其文本零散且多為競賽結果之呈現，缺乏運動文化生態發展歷程之整體性、精確性、開放性和易於取得性。基於為我國典藏體育歷史紀錄之理念，臺灣體育學院於民93年籌劃建置「體育新聞剪報資料庫」，收集臺灣所有平面體育新聞資料，以時間為縱軸，並輔以各種類運動項目、運動政策、運動生態…等資訊為横軸，編織出屬於臺灣體育之圖像系統，保存了我國體育新聞史料，建置一套包含體育新聞、圖像、賽事紀錄、人物、評論等多面向之體育數位文獻資料庫。「體育新聞剪報資料庫」業已收錄約二十萬篇體育新聞，且超過90%以上的數位化資訊皆已取得報社智慧財產權授權，均可合法於網路公開使用，提供大眾使用。 本計畫依據現有「體育新聞剪報資料庫」之基礎，執行民生報74年至78年新聞資料之數位化程序，總計完成12,244筆體育新聞數位化作業，豐富了資料庫內容。所有成果除製作成電子影像檔案，並依欄位特性功能，將資料分類統整，且鍵入相關人、事件、物、地名等關鍵字句，設定多層面檢索點與建立後設資料關聯，提高資訊堪用性與完整性。 本計畫所達到之目標包括：1.完整有系統地保存臺灣早期珍貴體育新聞資料，呈現臺灣體育發展脈絡及歷史軌跡。2.藉由數位化處理與網路傳遞，提供具有便利性與開放性之資料。3.透過適當分類，增加資料檢索與利用價值。4.各項成果可作為教學、研究、歷史重建、賽事考據等多面向的應用，不僅厚實教學內容，並增加歷史文獻之豐富性與信任度。

Sport has been important humanities construction within Taiwan, until now, many news and information related to sport are often rely on newspapers and magazines as media network. However, these text information are mostly dispersed and more likely to be a display of competition results, it is scanty of progressing experience in sport culture ecology. For realizing the importance of digital archive, The National Taiwan College of Physical Education (NTCP) has arranged the framework of “Sport News Clipping Database” since 2004 to embody the historical data about sport news from print media for Taiwan. The vertical axis of this database is the collection of correlating Taiwan physical sport news and information which including policy, ecology, critics, and competitions, as well as sport historical data in preservation as horizontal axis, altogether to construct a multidimensional database in sport documentary consist of sport news, photo image, competition record, personage, comment, and etc. Up until now upon hundreds of thousands sport news are recorded in database from 1985 to 2010, furthermore, each newspaper offices legally authorized the NTCP to openly use their intellectual property about 90 percent data online with full published context. Base on the conception of “Sport News Clipping Database”, the focus of this plan is to process digital press clipping about sport aspect of the Min Sheng Daily between 1985 and 1989. In the current year of this project, the press clipping about sport news total 12,244 items are reserved by digital procedure. The expected intentions are including four meanings:(1)To systematically preserve the valuable historical news of athletic in early periods permanently;(2)By the digitalization procedure and network function , the sport news information could be provided with further accessibility, facilitating, and more instantly;(3)Proper classification of the database to elevate the value of data research in usage; and(4)To provide resources for tuition, research, history re-establishment, competition textual criticism, and etc., not only to strengthen the course materials but at the same time to equip the abundance and reliance of historical documentary.
