黑暗中的臺灣之光-臺灣盲人棒球運動

「盲人棒球」是視障運動裡最有挑戰、最激烈的運動，盲人棒球在臺發展已超過 20 年，現階段熱衷於盲人棒球的視障者還是大有人在，但在推廣上遇到許多困難如：場地租借的困難、器材費用較高、志工人數未增加等原因，再再的讓盲人棒球運動發展大受阻礙，2012 年社團法人非視覺運動文化發展協會的成立，再次讓視障者重返世界盃，在 2012 及 2013 年連續兩年拿下世界冠軍的殊榮，球隊成立至今也拿下了 5 次的世界冠軍。

本次研究整理了盲人棒球運動在臺發展的歷程、現況及未來發展，透過文獻整理及焦點團體訪談後整理出以下四種建議：一、提升新聞媒體及網路資訊的曝光度。二、地方政府機關及民間企業協助。三、增加運動人口數從基層做起。四、盲人棒球專用場地的爭取。透過本次研究訪談與資料收集，希望未來盲人棒球在推動上能夠更為順利也能讓更多視障者體驗盲人棒球的樂趣。

Beep baseball can be described as the most challenging and the most

strenuous one amongst the sports for blind or visually impaired people. Beep

baseball has been played in Taiwan for more than 20 years, and there are still

a great number of visually impaired people keen on this sport nowadays.

Nevertheless, the difficulties in promoting beep baseball, including facility

rental problems, expensive basement equipment, low participation rate of

volunteers, etc., have continuously hindered the development of beep baseball

in a serious way. Taiwan Non-Vision Sport & Culture Development

Association was established in 2012, which allowed visually impaired people

to play the games again in the World Cup. The Taiwan Beep Baseball Team

was crowned the champion of the world in 2012 and 2013. So far, the team

has become the world champion for 5 times already. The current situation and

future development of beep basement in Taiwan are listed systematically in

this study. Through the literature review and focus group, four suggestions

are proposed: 1. Increase exposure to the news media and internet information

services; 2. Assistance provided by local and private enterprises; 3. Increase

athletic population; 4. Strive to acquire exclusive facility court for beep

baseball teams. Through data collection and interview research, we hope that

beep baseball will be promoted more successfully and more visually impaired

people will be able to enjoy the sport of beep baseball.
