dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the physical activity intervention for improvement on motor coordination abilities of students with Autism. Three children with Autism aged eight to twelve years old, who participated in a physical activity program five days a week for eight weeks. Each participant was administered the Bruininks-Oserestsky Test of Motor Proficiency at the beginning, after four weeks, and the end of the program for a total of three testing sessions. Besides, the qualitative aspects of their performance were recorded by interview and observation. After eight weeks, their BOTMP scores were increased. Especially, the participant A comorbid for both Autism and Tourette syndrome, did not quite obvious to improve on his BOTMP scores. Moreover, all three participants increased their psychological well-being and decreased the stereotypical behavior. These finding support that the children with Autism involved in a physical activity program would improve their motor coordination abilities which would help them in further development.
