社會的快速變化造成休閒時間受新生活型態切割，有著填補零碎時間及立即收獲的娛樂性休閒活動逐漸增加，卻也使需長遠投入及具持續性價值的休閒活動隨之減少。本研究藉由參與觀察、實物蒐集與訪談的方式，探討cosplay之次文化意涵與建構自我認同的歷程。而透過深入參與cosplay，不僅使零碎性的娛樂休閒活動轉型成為有持續價值的休閒活動外，另一方面次文化的特性也使自我循序漸進的加深認同感受。本研究以包含自我呈現、身份歸屬及消費意涵的cosplay休閒次文化為背景下，探討coser在面對自我、他人及社會眼光時，是如何使難以形塑建構的自我認同得以強化。而研究發現coser在自我瞭解後會不斷的超越自我、並視分化後的小社會為自我展現的舞台、同時藉由小社會中的群體定位自我、最後在身體形象使他人認同的同時，也進一步成為展現自我的媒介，加深了自我認同感受，甚而渲染至現實生活層面，使自我有了較為正向的改變。

　　Rapid changing society creates new form of living also re-modifying time usage in daily live. Immediate entertaining activities are increased in one hand, but less continuous effort required leisure activities are adopted in the other hand. Through observation, object gathering, and interviews, This research explores the implication of cosplay subculture (self-representation, identity belongings, and consuming implications) and process for constructing self-identity. Cosers not only transform themself from fragmented leisure entertainment into continuous value of leisure activities but also gradually consolidate self-identity through participation. This research discovered that after cosers gain self-understanding, they will exceed themselves consistently, and orientate themselves in the divided small society which they see as a self-expressing stage. Last, when others outside this subculture acknowledge their presentations, cosplay activity further become a medium for expressing themselves, and reinforce their self-identification. As the result, cosers' real life also changed positively through their engagement of cosplay.
