本研究主要目的在瞭解自由車選手身體自我概念與目標取向之現況，分析背景變項與二個變項之間的差異性以及二者間的相關性。以自編之「自由車選手身體自我概念與目標取向調查問卷」，問卷調查對象台灣自由車選手共315名。回收資料以t考驗、ANONA及Scheffe事後比較、Pearson積差相關等統計分析。經分析討論獲得以下結論：
一、自由車選手身體自我概念中以「協調性」構面最高，其次依序為「技術」、「健康」、「柔軟度」、「肌耐力」、「外表」、「爆發力」等七項因素。
二、分析自由車選手背景變項與身體自我概念發現在「專項」、「訓練年資」、「運動表現」等因素達到顯著差異水準。
三、自由車選手目標取向以「工作取向」構面最高，其次「自我取向」。
四、分析自由車選手背景變項與目標取向發現在「專項」、「訓練年資」、「運動表現」、等因素達到顯著差異水準。
五、身體自我概念與目標取向二者之間呈現相關。

　　The main purpose of this study was to demonstrate the backgroundof both the physical self-concept and goal orientation of cyclists, background variables and relationship of these two puameters well analyzed . A self-developed survey,“The questionnaire for cyclists physical self-concept and goal orientations” was used to evaluate 315 cyclists in Taiwan. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS software program (Windows version 12.0) using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe,s Method, and Pearson,s product moment correlation. After analysis and discussion, the results were summarized as follows:
1.There are seven factors in the cyclists physical self-concept, including“body coordination”,which is the highest in the priority,“technology”, “health”, “body softness”, “muscle endurance”, “semblance”and “explosive force”.
2.After analyzing the cyclists background variables and physical self-concepts, a profound level of difference was found in the aspects, such as “specialty”, “year of training”and“sports performance” .
3.“Work orientation”is the highest factor among all goal orientations of cycling players, followed by“self-orientation”.
4.After analyzing the cyclists background variables and goal orientations, a profound level of difference was found in the aspects, such as “specialty”, “year of training”and“sports performance” .
5.The physical self-concept and goal orientations had positive correlation .
