Abstract
促進身體復原進而提昇優秀運動員的運動表現是運動科學領域中的重要議題。睡眠被認為與肌肉疲勞恢復、免疫及內分泌系統等生理功能有關。因此,優秀運動員的睡眠值得評估。本研究擬召募跆拳道選手,以三年計畫了解高強度運動訓練對於睡眠及免疫反應之影響,並以特定的營養介入,希能改善睡眠及免疫反應。[第一年],在不同訓練期對選手進行睡眠問卷調查、佩戴腕表睡眠記錄器及收集血液和唾液檢體,探討不同的運動強度對睡眠品質、免疫反應以及氧化壓力相關指標之影響。[第二年],根據第一年的研究成果,在進行高強度訓練過程,給予補充具有抗氧化及抗發炎功效的槲皮素連續7天,評估槲皮素是否改善選手睡眠品質、免疫功能及氧化壓力相關指標。[第三年],在高強度運動訓練過程,給予補充血清素之前趨物色胺酸連續7天,評估攝取色胺酸是否改善睡眠品質、免疫功能及氧化壓力相關指標。此研究成果可以驗証睡眠與營養對高強度訓練之益處,並提供教練與運動選手選擇增補劑之依據。
Facilitating recovery to promote the performance of elite athletes is an important issue in exercise science. Sleep was known affecting the recovery of muscle fatigue, the immune functions and endocrine systems. Therefore, sleep of elite athletes warrants evaluation. This project is designed to recruit taekwondo athletes to study the effects of highly intense training on athletes’ sleep and immune functions, and hopefully through nutrient intervention to improve their sleep and immune functions. In the 1st year, the questionnaire of sleep, wristwatch actigraphy, saliva and blood samples will be used to investigate the effects of different intense training courses on the quality/quantity of sleep, immune responses and oxidative stress related markers. In the 2nd year, based on the results of 1st year, we will investigate the effects of 7-day supplementation of quercetin, an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent, on the quality/quantity of sleep, immune responses and oxidative stress related markers during the highly intense exercise. In the 3rd year, we will evaluate the effects of 7-day supplementation of tryptophan, precursor of serotonin, during the highly intense exercise on the quality/quantity of sleep, immune responses and oxidative stress related markers. We anticipate that this study would verify the beneficial effects of sleep and nutrient supplementation on high intense exercise=and provide information for the athletes and coaches to select proper nutrient supplements.
